General information Zurich Insurance Company South Africa Limited (“the Company”) and its subsidiaries and associates (together forming “the Group”) underwrite all classes of short-term insurance business and offer premium collection services. The Group operates in the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Mauritius. The Company is a public limited company incorporated and domiciled in the Republic of South Africa. The Company is listed on the JSE Limited. The address of its registered office is: 193 Bryanston Drive, Bryanston 2021, Johannesburg, South Africa. The immediate holding company is SA Fire House Limited incorporated in South Africa. The ultimate parent company is Zurich Financial Services incorporated in Switzerland. The financial statements were authorised for issue on 13 May 2009 by the Board of Directors. Only the Board of Directors has power to amend these financial statements after issue.
