Botswana Eagle to operate under the global Zurich brand
Botswana / Johannesburg, July 16, 2009 – Zurich Insurance Company South Africa Limited has announced that as of today its wholly-owned business in Botswana, Botswana Eagle, will operate under the global Zurich brand and the registered name Zurich Insurance Company Botswana Limited. This step signals Zurich’s commitment to this operation and to the local market in Botswana.
Nick Beyers, Zurich South Africa’s CEO said, “We are excited about launching the Zurich brand in Botswana. The in-depth understanding of the local insurance sector that our team in Botswana has, combined with the Group’s global risk management capabilities and the access to our global platforms, positions them well to achieve further growth in this important market.”

The Zurich brand is being launched in Botswana with a advertising brand campaign.
